Abstract

The article we present aims to reinterpret the last two missionary events, the 5th National Missionary Congress 2023 and the 6th American Missionary Congress 2024, taking as reference the Synod of Bishops 2024 and the Proclamation of the Jubilee 2025. These two missionary
events were an invitation to discern the signs of the times in order to respond, adequately, to the new challenges for Missionary Action. Today, going to the ends of the world can no longer be understood as a simple geographical displacement; rather, a missionary outreach towards
the most extreme realities and human situations on the edge. This is the great challenge that has been pointed out to the Local Church: knowing how to combine mission “ad intra” and mission “ad extra”; that is, local and universal mission. Faced with the challenges brought by
hypermodernity, the missionary needs constant missiological updating, a profound experien-
ce of God, understanding that the anguish of men is also that of the disciples of Christ, and allowing himself to be led by the Holy Spirit, the main Agent of Evangelization.
