The action of the seventy-two missionary disciples in the panorama of hope for humanity (Lk 10,1-12)
Keywords:
Seventy (two), send-mission, two by two, peace, kingdom of GodAbstract
The universal mission has its origin in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who became man to save humanity. The seventy (and two) disciples are sent on mission to the nations to whom the Kingdom is proclaimed, and who, in turn, are continuators of the universal mission, bearers of hope. This task has been entrusted to the Church and is represented in the mission prior to Easter, carried out by the Twelve (cf. Lk 9,1-6). Several questions then arise: Who should carry out the mission? Where to start? How is missionary work to be carried out? How long should it last? Is it easy to be a missionary? Where are the means and forces to carry out this task? What happens to those who do not want to accept the message of the Gospel? The answer to these and other questions can be found in the passage of Luke 10,1-12.
